In November 2017 I was invited to attend the National Organic Training Conference (NOTG) in the Tullamore Court Hotel, County Offaly. The conference was organised by The National Organic Training Skilnet and financed by the Department of Education. The seminar topic was ‘Future Organic Growers’ and it was wonderful to see so many young, enthusiastic people passionate about organic produce and sustainability.
The main message was the use of wood chip that eventually blends in with the soil to create a wonderful world of soil biodiversity.
The National Organic Training Skilnet (through our efforts) became involved in another seminar in County Cork delivered by 3LM.
